Requirements

We supported COWI in the development and evaluation of a direct airport link utilising “Venetian style” fast launches. The marine route would bypass the main CBD and avoid all risks of congestion, while providing visitors a unique manner in which to arrive at the development. 

Solutions

The water taxi & ferry service assessment delivered:

• Evaluation of the feasibility of a ferry/water taxi service;
• Review of demand;
• Analysis of potential routes and constraints;
• Determination of vessel, service and frequency;
• Development of range of potential vessel designs;
• Drafting of “road map” to enable ferry provision.
